We’re a traditional country, award-winning pub, offering a relaxed atmosphere and warm welcome to locals, visitors and families. We’re one of the highest pubs in England, situated on the moors of Lancashire so you can enjoy some spectacular panoramic views.
Our dining area now follows all safety guidelines and is where you can enjoy our great range of pub classics and homemade dishes and of course, excellent quality ale to accompany. Take in the views as you wait – on clear days, you can see as far as the Ribble Estuary, the coast and Blackpool Tower.

Here at The Grey Mare, you can enjoy tasty and traditional pub classics, homemade favourites and specials for lunch, dinner, or a Sunday roast treat.
Indulge in the traditional fish and chips, tuck into a handmade pie from our great selection or try one of our specials. All of our ingredients are locally sourced and our dishes freshly cooked to order. Whether it’s a light bite, a 3-course dinner or you’re just popping in for coffee and a cake, our varied menus include vegan and vegetarian options as well as dishes made to non-gluten containing recipes, meaning there’s something for everyone.

We’ve the perfect outdoor space with our heated marquee providing all the warmth of the Grey Mare with socially distance benches all around our fire heater. Warm, cosy and delicious food; it’s the perfect space for the ultimate winter experience for the family to get together; whatever the weather.

PLEASE NOTE: Any larger parties over 6 people will be required to pay a non refundable deposit of £5 per person. Each booking is for 2 hours.
